Past Webinar- Start-up Product Management with Adam Bullied

Requirements Management Software Flash Video Requirements Management Software Podcast

Adam Bullied Adam Bullied, Product Manager, MusicIP
and blogger, Write That Down.

Product managers are the proxy to the market(s). The elements that are seemingly too formal for a start-up are often what help you move at lightening speed later down the road. Key items such as product definition and building a proper product team, often get left out of the mix in favor of writing code and “shipping.”

Problem is, a piece of code is not a product.

While those things are critical for start-ups to succeed, so is making sure you have effective requirements, excellent cross-functional relationships (whether that’s one marketing person and two developers, or more), and solid founder relationships.

This presentation covers some of the key elements in helping teams to understand why solving problems is critical, and what it really means to be market-driven - and not just say that you are.

Speaker bio:
Adam Bullied is the Product Manager for MusicIP, a leader of the rapidly growing digital music identification and discovery space. With almost ten years in the technology industry, Adam was programming professionally before he was out of high school, founding Solution Wave, a full service web solution provider, in 2000. However, when the opportunity to take the lead as Product Manager with Truition, an emerging Canadian e-commerce solution provider, Adam made the decision to put his entrepreneurship experience and skills to work in a startup. In addition to overseeing the diverse MusicIP product line, and growing the product management organization within MusicIP, Adam actively maintains his popular product management blog, Write That Down (www.writethatdown.com).
