BarCamp ProductCamp in Austin

From Paul at Product Beatiful:

I'm happy to announce that ProductCamp Austin is scheduled and planning is in full swing! ProductCamp will be held Saturday June 14th. Location is To Be Announced (see more on this below).

What is ProductCamp?

In the spirit of BarCamp, ProductCamp is a collaborative, user organized event. The original BarCamps were centered around developers, whereas our ProductCamp will be around Product Marketing and Management topics. The spirit of ProductCamp is that there are no "attendees," since everyone who comes participates in some manner: either presenting, leading a roundtable discussion, helping with logistics, securing sponsorship, setting up wifi, supplying food, etc. The only cost to you is your participation!

Who is this for?

Anyone! ProductCamp is designed to be about Product Management and Marketing topics, and anyone in the product development lifecycle can learn and contribute. Product Managers, Product Marketers, Project Managers, Developers, Marcomm, Sales, and Operations are all welcome! Everyone except Finance. Just kidding!

What are you going to talk about?

That is up to YOU! As an un-conference, you have the opportunity to suggest a topic and speak. A few slots in the schedule will be pre-determined, but the majority of schedule will be open and selected wholly by the ProductCamp participants based on what they want to hear. You can suggest or offer a topic on the wiki (see below).

Where can I learn more and sign up?

See the ProductCamp Austin wiki at:

http://barcamp.org/ProductCampAustin

Since this is a user supported, collaborative event, how do I help out?

Thank you for asking! We need help in lots of areas - if you are interested in being on the planning team, please join the ProductCamp Austin Google group:

http://groups.google.com/group/productcampaustin

Our most pressing needs are for a venue and food sponsors. ProductCamp is currently sponsored by AustinPMM, NetStreams, and Pragmatic Marketing - with more to come soon.

Thanks everyone, we can't wait to meet you at ProductCamp Austin!
